Help end puppy mill sales in Colorado pet stores

Colorado residents: Urge Governor Polis to sign House Bill 26-1011!

Great news — Legislation that will help end retail pet sales in Colorado has passed the state legislature! House Bill 26-1101 is now on its way to the governor's desk.

March 30, 2026: HB 26-1101 has passed both chambers! Please take a moment to ask Governor Jared Polis to sign the bill into law.

HB 26-1101 would effectively prohibit Colorado pet stores from selling dogs and cats. The legislation would encourage Colorado pet stores to offer pets from the state's shelters and rescue groups instead of supporting inhumane commercial breeding mills.

TAKE ACTION: Send a message to Governor Polis asking him to sign HB26-1011 and support humane pet sales.
