Increase pet-friendly housing options for Illinois families

Pet-friendly rentals can be hard to find, with arbitrary breed restrictions further limiting options for many Illinois families.

Illinois House Bill 1603 would eliminate pet restrictions based on breed alone, while maintaining effective protections against dangerous dogs and irresponsible pet owners. 

Breed-based restrictions are outdated and difficult to enforce, especially since a dog's breed cannot be identified by appearance alone.

Breed-neutral policies hold all dogs and owners accountable, creating safer communities for pets and people alike.
