Promote pet-friendly legislation in California

Great news! Two pet-friendly animal bills have passed the state legislature with strong bipartisan support! 

Now on Governor Gavin Newsom's desk for consideration, together these two bills would increase access to veterinary care and help keep existing pet families together.

• Assembly Bill 2010, the SNIP Act, would improve and accelerate access to care by reducing barriers for veterinary clinics and expanding clinic capacity, including spay/neuter services.
• Senate Bill 1296 would help keep pets with their families by requiring landlords to clearly disclose pet policies before collecting a rental application fee.

Collectively, these bills would help remove adoption-blocking housing restrictions and increase access to veterinary care for animals statewide.
