Protect animals sold in Oklahoma pet stores

New Oklahoma state legislation would help pets, protect consumers, and promote adoption along the way.

House Bill 4055 would establish the Breeding Animals Responsibly and with Care (BARC) Act, providing enhanced animal welfare standards and regulations for commercial pet breeders.

Additionally, HB 4055 would establish a special fund from commercial breeder fees/fines. The fund would be used to provide grants to animal shelters and rescue groups for services like spay/neuter. 

TAKE ACTION: Send a message to the Oklahoma House Committee on Agriculture. Urge committee members to advance HB 4055.
