Support Los Angeles Animal Services with Best Friends & ASPCA
City of Los Angeles residents: Urge your city council to support this historic lifesaving collaboration
History in the making. That’s what’s on the table for Los Angeles Animal Services (LAAS). LAAS, Best Friends Animal Society and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) have come together to increase lifesaving in a landmark proposal of collaboration.
As part of the proposal, Best Friends and the ASPCA will be supporting LAAS with $14 million over three years.
Not only will LAAS benefit financially, but both organizations will be offering their expertise and staff members to train and implement sheltering best practices. This partnership between Best Friends and the ASPCA will ensure LAAS is fully staffed and able to provide robust services to the public.
Ultimately, this landmark partnership will lead to more lives saved. Now, we only need Los Angeles city council to authorize our collaborative agreement.
