Join us for a rendezvous at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary!

Meet the amazing animals and people of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary — without leaving home. Join us for the virtual Insider Experience with the Animals series.

Insider Experience With the Animals brings you face to face with some of the many precious reasons that Best Friends is committed to Save Them All. We invite you to join the animals of the Sanctuary (and the people who love and care for them) in this special series throughout the year.

Sign up for the free series to learn more about this magical place and meet some of its furry and feathered friends who, thanks to you, find refuge here. This is also your opportunity to hang out with a few of our founders, who will share some wild and wonderful stories about the early days of Best Friends.

Consider this your virtual visit — from the comfort of your home — with the animals who are finding comfort in their home-between-homes at the Sanctuary.

Angels Rest tour and Vicktory Dogs celebration (40 minutes)

This September event is postponed. New date to be confirmed as soon as possible.

Come witness the powerful presence of Angels Rest, the final resting place for Sanctuary animals and cherished companions of Best Friends members and staff.

Follow Best Friends co-founder Anne Mejia as she shares the history of Angels Rest and walks us through the serene pathways of Angels Rest to the heavenly symphony of hundreds of wind chimes. Meet Angels Rest manager Josh Nunez, who shares his deeply personal honor of tucking in the dearly beloved.

And then hear the inspiring recovery story of how 22 traumatized dogs rescued from the dogfighting ring of NFL quarterback Michael Vick arrived at the Sanctuary and eventually became ambassadors for kindness.

Listen as Dogtown’s John Garcia recalls his experience as first caregiver and behavior expert for the Vicktory Dogs, whose canine resilience and forgiveness forever changed our perspective on fighting dogs.

Not to be missed, this is an experience that’s sure to open minds and melt hearts.

About Best Friends

Best Friends Animal Society is working to save the lives of cats and dogs all across the country, giving pets second chances and happy homes.

Just a few short years ago, cats and dogs were killed in staggering numbers in this country simply because shelters didn't have the community support or the resources to save their lives. That number is now less than half a million per year, but there’s still work to do to ensure a bright future for every dog and cat in America.

Best Friends operates the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals and is committed to saving the lives of homeless pets by working with shelters and passionate people like you. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill in 2025. Together, we will Save Them All.
