Join us for a foster rally
Houston animal shelters are facing a crisis as adoptions decrease, the number of pets entering shelters increases, and COVID-19 policies limit the number of employees available to care for pets in need. Can you help by fostering a homeless dog or cat?
Best Friends Animal Society is hosting a citywide foster rally, which will help you find your perfect foster pet. As a foster volunteer, you’ll provide love and care to a dog or cat who fits in perfectly with your lifestyle and schedule. We’ll provide you with all the food, supplies and medical care you’ll need to care for your temporary houseguest.
Foster rallies will be held once a month at different Houston shelters. Join us for this month’s rally:
Saturday, September 18, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Harris County Pets
612 Canino Road
Houston, Texas
Can’t attend a foster rally in person? Virtual meet-and-greets can be arranged, and we can deliver your foster pet straight to your door. Just fill out the foster app and we’ll be in touch.
Support shelters impacted by Tropical Storm Nicholas
You can also help homeless pets and the Houston shelters impacted by Tropical Storm Nicholas. In collaboration with BARC (City of Houston animal shelter) and Harris County Pets, Best Friends is actively working to find immediate short-term foster homes for pets impacted by the storms.
