If you’re under the age of 18, you’ll need permission to foster from someone in your household who is over 18 years old. That person should be the one to complete the volunteer profile and orientation. For more information, please contact us directly with any questions at 818-643-3989 or behaviorla@bestfriends.org.

Take a dog out for an adventure in Los Angeles
The Adventure Buddy program was designed for those who may be limited on time or space at home but would still like to make an impact by providing enrichment and a much-needed break from the kennel for one of our adoptable dogs.
It's a fun way to spend some time with a pup while giving adoptable dogs some valuable time to explore life outside of their daily routine. The dog will get experience in the "real world" and become even more ready for a new home while you have fun getting to know them. Our Adventure Buddy program is also a great stepping stone to prepare interested foster volunteers in longer-term fostering.

Outings enrich the lives of adoptable dogs
Whatever you decide for your outing — from taking a stroll on a dog-friendly beach to relaxing together at your place — one lucky dog will appreciate spending quality time with you.
