Help save homeless pets in NM

Shelters near you need help to save more lives. Every day, dogs and cats are killed in animal shelters across New Mexico simply because they don’t have a place to call home. Together, with your help, we’re changing that.

Best Friends is working with animal welfare organizations and stakeholders statewide to save every pet who can be saved and reach no-kill through New Mexico in 2025. Your local shelter is counting on your help. Now is the time to get involved and make a lifesaving difference.

Best Friends supports partner lifesaving work in New Mexico

Best Friends partners with shelters and rescue groups in New Mexico to save more lives through training, coaching, mentoring, lifesaving programs, grants, and grassroots community engagement. We also support local leaders and people with pets on the Navajo Nation through lifesaving programs, spay/neuter services, pet-supply distribution, and grants.
