From Jasper County Animal Shelter

Jasper County Animal Shelter & Control was founded in November of 1998. Our shelter organization is operated & funded by Jasper County in the state of Indiana. We have very limited space at our Shelter and can only house 7 dogs and 10 cats. We strive to ensure that every adoptable animal that comes to us has as much opportunity as possible to find a loving forever home with us before we reach out to a rescue or sanctuary. A large part of our success locating forever homes for our animals in addition to our adopters is due to all the rescues and people who volunteer their time to help us find forever homes for our animals. We full-heartedly thank all of you who donate so much of your time to help us with our fur babies!!

Who we are

Best Friends Animal Society  works alongside thousands of animal shelters, rescue groups, and other animal welfare organizations to save the lives of cats and dogs across the country and to make the entire country no-kill in 2025.

The Best Friends Network is comprised of thousands of animal welfare groups from every single state, all working to save the lives of pets in their own communities.

Ranging from animal shelters and rescue groups to spay/neuter and trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) organizations, they collaborate with Best Friends to save even more lives in every corner of the country.

Best Friends provides marketing help, fundraising events, webinars, grants, and other resources so that, together, we can Save Them All.
