Earth is a calm little fluff ball who loves his pets and cuddles. His big brother Mercury is his daily playmate and favorite groomer. Never know when Earth's forever person may be stopping by! He loves the company of all his feline friends and even purrs like crazy when his buddies are getting their share of pets and cuddles. But he knows his place when the elders tell him to go away. You never know where you will find him...snuggling in his bed or off on a curious adventure since he is a kitten he has much to learn. Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.
