This guy had a tough beginning, and life didn’t always treat him kindly. But instead of becoming shy or withdrawn, he chose love. Today, he’s one of the most people-oriented, social cats you’ll ever meet. He absolutely adores humans and thrives on attention, conversation, and being part of whatever you’re doing. With his soft white coat accented by distinguished grey markings, he is as handsome as he is charming. He’ll greet you at the door, follow you from room to room like a loyal little shadow, and happily soak up pets, chin scratches, and lap time. If you’re sitting, expect company. If you’re talking, expect him to join in.

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.
