Hi, I’m Panda Express! I’m a three-month-old black kitten with endless energy, excellent zoomie skills, and a talent for appearing out of nowhere the second you open a snack. Coincidence? I think not. I may look like a tiny shadow sneaking around the house, but don’t let my sleek black fur fool you — I’m pure sunshine underneath. I love to play, explore, climb things I probably shouldn’t, and turn ordinary moments into full-blown kitten adventures. Every day is exciting when you’re this curious. When I finally wear myself out from all the chaos, I transform into a professional cuddle bug. I’m a huge fan of warm laps, soft blankets, and falling asleep while purring like a tiny motorboat. Basically, I bring equal parts entertainment and affection wherever I go. I’m looking for a family that’s ready for laughs, love, and a little harmless kitten mischief. Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.
