Help end breed-specific dog bans in Arkansas
Arkansas residents: Thank Rep. McAlindon for her support and leadership
UPDATE (4/10/2025): Rep. McAlindon's support has been integral to the progress of this important legislation. Please thank her for her support and encourage her to continue to support this bill through the interim study committee process.
Breed-based dog laws are outdated, costly to enforce, and have been proven ineffective at keeping communities safe. Instead, we need comprehensive dangerous dog laws that focus on dog behavior and owner accountability.
Arkansas legislators are considering a state bill that would prevent local governments from adopting or enforcing such breed-specific legislation (BSL), while also ensuring both people and pets are protected from dangerous dogs.
