Help New Jersey's community cats and animal shelters
New Jersey residents: Ask your state legislators to support bills A. 3635/S. 261!
Nearly 97% of the pets dying unnecessarily in New Jersey shelters are cats. New legislation would support a "Compassion for Community Cats Fund," giving thousands of New Jersey residents access to lifesaving and cost-effective programs for the management of unowned cats.
Trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) is an animal-friendly and veterinarian-approved method for keeping these cats safe, healthy, and out of shelters, humanely reducing their population numbers over time. But community cat programs need funding to operate effectively. If enacted, A. 3635/S. 261 will direct funds to local-level TNVR programs.
