Best Friends pet food pantry
Giving residents the resources they need to avoid surrendering their pets to shelters is critical to making Utah a no-kill state. That’s why we opened a pet food pantry at our lifesaving center in Salt Lake City.

The Best Friends pet food pantry provides pet food to low-income residents and community cat caregivers. The pet food pantry not only fills bellies, it also helps to save lives by providing families with what they need to keep their pets at home and out of shelters.  

We rely on donations to fill orders, which means our food levels vary. We attempt to accommodate one-time emergency requests as supplies are available. Delivery may be available in certain circumstances.

How you can help

The pet food pantry relies completely on donations, so you can help keep the pantry stocked by donating cat and dog food.

To make a food donation, you can order from our Amazon Charity Wish List and have your donation shipped directly to the pantry.

You can also drop off your donation at our lifesaving center in the donation bins near the front door. We also accept open bags of pet food that are taped or sealed securely.
