Help prevent breed-specific legislation in Mobile
Mobile residents: Urge the Mobile City Council and Mayor to vote NO on Ordinance 07-033.
TIME-SENSITIVE: Mobile City Council is expected to vote on Ordinance 07-033 tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Messages must reach council members and the mayor by end of day today, August 3, to have an impact.
Breed-specific dog laws are ineffective at protecting public safety and can be costly for municipalities to defend.
Unfortunately, a proposed ordinance is moving quickly to enact breed-specific dog restrictions in Mobile.
If Ordinance 07-033 is passed, responsible dog owners of specific breeds would be penalized, regardless of the individual dog's behavior.
Want to do more to help? Attend the city council meeting tomorrow 8/4 at 10:30 a.m. either in-person or on the YouTube livestream.
TAKE ACTION: Send a message to the Mobile City Council and Mayor urging them to vote NO on Ordinance 07-033. Ask them to support humane and evidence-based breed-neutral legislation instead.
