[CAMPAIGN ENDED] Wichita residents: Ask your council member to vote YES on humane pet sales ordinance!

The Wichita City Council will soon vote on legislation that would prevent pet stores from selling puppies and kittens sourced from inhumane breeding mills.

If enacted, a humane pet sales ordinance will help put an end to the suffering of countless animals in substandard breeding facilities and help save animals in Wichita shelters.

And by shrinking the retail market for mill-bred pets, there will be more opportunities for homeless dogs and cats to get adopted. That’s why more than 460 cities, counties, and states have enacted humane pet sales legislation.

TAKE ACTION: Ask your Wichita City Council member to support a humane pet sales ordinance.
