Urge the Joint Committee on Housing to approve companion bills S.885 and H.1437.

An important committee hearing is taking place October 12, 2021. Please take action now to ensure committee members know this issue is important to Massachusetts residents!

If enacted, companion bills S.885 and H.1437 will help improve housing stability for families with pets by:

  • preventing some housing providers from arbitrarily banning certain breeds of dogs
  • preventing insurance companies from discriminating against people based on the type of dog they have
  • preventing evictions during the COVID emergency on the sole basis of the family having a pet

The more pets can stay in their homes, the fewer that will end up surrendered to animal shelters.

TAKE ACTION: Leave a message urging the Joint Committee on Housing to vote YES on S.885 and H.1437.

Follow the form/prompts to be connected.
