During these challenging times, when more people are unhoused or at risk of becoming unhoused, it's even more likely that Californians will have to make the heartbreaking decision to give up their pet(s) in order to have a safe place to sleep.  

Assembly Bill 1215 will create a permanent grant program for facilities that provide shelter, food, and basic veterinary services for pets of people experiencing homelessness or escaping domestic violence.
