Affordable housing is hard to find. Pet-friendly and affordable housing is even more difficult. With housing being one of the top reasons why pets are surrendered to shelters, it's vital that we do what we can to increase the supply of pet-friendly, affordable housing. Virginia, your opportunity is happening now.

Virginia Senate Bill 1384 would restrict public housing authorities from denying dogs based on their breed or size. If enacted, responsible dog owners would not have to choose between housing or surrendering their pets to the shelter.
