Best Friends in Northwest Arkansas

Best Friends in Northwest Arkansas works collaboratively with city shelters, local animal welfare organizations and passionate individuals to save the lives of homeless pets in shelters.

To support this work and help Northwest Arkansas achieve no-kill, Best Friends is building a regional pet resource center in the city of Bentonville. In 2020, construction began on the Best Friends Pet Resource Center, which will serve pets and communities in Northwest Arkansas and across the country.

Northwest Arkansas Partnership for Animal Welfare

During the center’s construction, Best Friends will provide for area pets by working with the NWA Partnership for Animal Welfare (NWA PAW), a voluntary association of nonprofit organizations and government animal shelters working together to end the killing of cats and dogs in Northwest Arkansas. Best Friends will work with NWA PAW to provide educational opportunities, distribute donated pet supplies, assist with adoption events, support trap-neuter-return efforts and other services.
