Best Friends in Northwest Arkansas

Best Friends in Northwest Arkansas works collaboratively with city shelters, local animal welfare organizations and passionate individuals to save the lives of homeless pets in Northwest Arkansas shelters.

To support this work and help Northwest Arkansas achieve no-kill, Best Friends is building a regional pet resource center in the city of Bentonville. With construction beginning in 2020, the Best Friends Pet Resource Center will serve pets and communities in Northwest Arkansas and across the country.

During the center’s construction, Best Friends will be working to meet the immediate needs of the area with a new cat lifesaving center in Bentonville. The center will showcase adoptable cats from NWA Partnership for Animal Welfare, as well as local shelters and animal rescue groups.

The cat lifesaving center will also house a community food pantry to assist people in need, operate a community cat program to save the lives of the area’s feral and stray cats, and participate in lifesaving transport programs.
