[CAMPAIGN ENDED] Urge the D.C. Council to enact a humane pet sales bill.

The D.C. Council is considering important legislation that would prevent pet stores from selling puppies and kittens sourced from inhumane breeding mills.

If enacted, the proposed bill  will help put an end to the suffering of countless animals in substandard breeding facilities and reduce killing in local shelters.

And by shrinking the retail market for puppy-mill pets, there will be more opportunities for homeless dogs and cats to get adopted. That’s why more than 420 cities, counties and states have enacted similar ordinances.

TAKE ACTION: Send a message urging your D.C. Council member to vote YES on a humane pet sales bill. Calls will be especially helpful!
