Save Provo cats!

Ask city leaders to SAY YES to community cat support.

UPDATE as of 1/31: While Provo City Council has approved the community cat pilot program, delays and lack of communication have led Best Friends to withdraw our offer and focus funding elsewhere. See our statement here. Please use the form below to urge your mayor to prioritize lifesaving at local animal shelters.

What's the issue?

Provo has the opportunity to set a positive example in Utah County, saving countless cats and shelter resources along the way.

Currently, Utah County has the highest euthanasia rate in Utah — largely due to the trapping, impounding, and killing of otherwise healthy outdoor cats.

What can be done about it?

Trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) is the only humane, safe, and cost-effective method for reducing outdoor cat populations.

Best Friends has offered to help Provo implement a community cat program with TNVR. This program would save healthy cats from being killed, preserve much-needed shelter space, and reduce the birth of new cats over time.
