Our animal companions are an integral part of our family, and the pet resource center was designed with that in mind. It’s a place for the entire community to connect with pets — a place to adopt your next dog or cat, explore resources for guidance or support with current pets, or simply to gather with and enjoy family and friends.
Since opening its doors in March of 2023, the Best Friends Pet Resource Center has found loving homes for more than 5,000 dogs and cats! Read our second-year anniversary report for more information about the impact of the center in Arkansas.

Connecting pets and people of Northwest Arkansas
The Best Friends Pet Resource Center is more than just a place to adopt a pet. It is a first-of-its-kind, fully reimagined shelter that offers resources and services for both people and pets.
It’s a place where people can spend time with adoptable animals, take an adoptable dog out to explore Bentonville for the day, stop into our volunteer space to make toys for pets, find a pet to foster, and so much more.
Our veterinary clinic also provides vital veterinary care to the adoptable animals in our care and in the care of our community partner organizations, as well as to community cats from around the region.

Best Friends and the Momentary are teaming up to make your Saturday morning just a little bit brighter with Leashes and Lattes, an informal gathering time for dogs, coffee, and the people who love them.
One Saturday each month, Best Friends will be hanging out in the Onyx Coffee Bar at the Momentary with a selection of adorable, adoptable dogs, offering free pup cups- for your pups and ours - from 10 am until 11 am. Drop by and make some new furry friends!

Unroll your mat and find your flow alongside an adoptable pet! 🐾 Enjoy a special edition of Yoga with Movement Driven Life at the Best Friends Pet Resource Center. This small-group class offers the perfect mix of mindfulness, gentle movement, and cuddly company. You’ll leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and surrounded by furry friend! Feel free to bring your own yoga mat, or use one provided. 🌿 The class is free, but registration is required. Space is very limited, so be sure to reserve your spot early!

Bring the family and enjoy camp-inspired crafts, snacks, giveaways, and hands-on activities as we celebrate the season before heading back to school. Explore our Pet Resource Center during this special open house event and learn about resources, programs, and services available to help pets and the people who love them. You'll also have the chance to meet adoptable pets and discover ways to get involved in our lifesaving mission.

Whether you’re a cat lover, bingo enthusiast, or just looking for a sweet way to spend your evening, this event is sure to be a paws-itively good time. Spots are limited, so register today! 🌸🎉 🎟️ Tickets: This event is FREE, but space is limited, so be sure to secure your spot in advance. Please register every member of your party that plans to come. Registered guests must check in within 10 minutes of start time, or their spot may not be guaranteed. Any artist level is encouraged to come and paint a portrait of any of our adoptable animals that will go home with their future adopter. BYOB!: Feel free to bring a drink or snacks to enjoy as you paint, we'll have limited options to drink for attendees. Don't forget to bring a friend to enjoy the food and fun with! Meet the Models: Get to know the pets you’ll be painting! Before we begin, you’ll have the chance to meet and learn about the furry friends who will be featured in your artwork. The space features open areas perfect for getting to know adoptable dogs and cats, fun activities for humans of all ages, a DIY dog-bathing center, a café where guests can hang out with cats and kittens, a pet food and supplies pantry, and much more.
