SUCCESS! HB 2864 was signed into law.

Pets are family, and sometimes family members need a doctor's visit. With a national veterinarian shortage, it can be difficult to find and schedule a timely appointment. That's why we must do what we can to increase the number of veterinarians in Arizona.

Arizona House Bill 2864 would establish the Arizona Veterinary Loan Assistance Program and the Arizona Veterinary Loan Assistance Fund, administered by the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR).

Veterinarians would receive up to $100,000 in tuition assistance in return for working full-time in Arizona for four years, with at least two years working in a designated veterinarian shortage area or a nonprofit or municipal animal shelter.
