Sanctuary essentials: Hours, parking and restrooms

Hours

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except Christmas Day. During these hours, public areas are open; however, our caregivers are busy keeping the animals happy and healthy so we're unable to offer interaction with the animals to walk-in guests. To ensure you get quality time with the animals, please sign up for a volunteer shift.

Parking

Parking is available in front of the welcome center during business hours. RV day parking is available adjacent to the welcome center lot during business hours.

Restrooms

There are three restrooms available near the welcome center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Shuttle

The Roadhouse and Mercantile offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the Best Friends Welcome Center at the Sanctuary. Please call the Roadhouse front desk for times and to reserve a spot. Anyone can ride the shuttle -  no need to be a Roadhouse guest.

Food and drink

Lunch is served daily at the Angel Village café and the Canyon Grill, both located at the Sanctuary. Find out more about food and drink options.
