The Best Friends Visitor Center
The Best Friends Visitor Center, located in the heart of Kanab, is an interactive educational center for tourists to learn more about Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, our national programs and, of course, the animals. Folks will have the opportunity to sign up for Sanctuary tours, get information on volunteering, grab a tasty drink, and even meet a few adorable, adoptable pets! Every Thursday, 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.: Paint Class
This class is a fun and relaxing way to make a memory and create a painting that will remind you of your time here at the nation's largest animal sanctuary. Local artist and instructor, Jennifer Andrews, will walk you through painting a desert sunset in a animal silhouette. Class is $25 per person and includes an 9x12 canvas, paints, brushes, artist instruction, and light refreshments. No prior painting experience is needed and all ages are welcome! November thru March classes will be held at the Best Friends Visitor Center in town.

Every Friday, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. MT: Paint Your Pet's Portrait
Come paint a custom portrait of your pet at Best Friends Visitor Center in town. Local artist and instructor, Jennifer Andrews, will walk you through painting over a copy of your pet's photo to create your very own Pet Portrait. Class is $25 per person and includes an 9x12 canvas, paints, brushes, artist instruction, and light refreshments. No prior painting experience is needed and all ages are welcome!
Don't have a pet? No problem! Thumb through one of the many Best Friends' magazines to find an animal of your liking or email a web image to email@example.com and we'll print it out for you.

Join us for free coffee and free snuggles from adorable, adoptable kittens. Come for the buzz, stay for the fuzz!
If you live in Kane County, stop by during this time to meet Best Friends' Foster Program Coordinator and find out how you can be a foster home for homeless pets.
Every Saturday, 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. MT: Puppy Socialization Class
Help us prepare Best Friends' puppies for their future! Puppies need to be socialized to the big wide world so that they won’t be afraid of new situations, objects, sounds, people and other animals. You can come and help us socialize and train them! Space is limited. Please make a reservation online by clicking here and selecting the next Saturday on the calendar.
Requirements to attend: No personal pets are allowed at this class. Must be 10 years or older to attend this class and if under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must be present. All participants will be required to sign a volunteer waiver form.
*Classes are dependent on puppy availability. We will notify you if class is canceled due to puppy adoptions or unpredictable circumstances.
Second & fourth Thursday of every month, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. MT: Ask-A-Trainer
The Dogtown Behavior Consultants from Best Friends Animal Sanctuary will choose a dog behavior topic or demonstration to focus on during each session. Dogtown Behavior Consultants use the most current scientific evidence supported relationship based training practices to help dogs get adopted. There will be plenty of time for Q&A session afterwards, so bring all your dog behavior and training related questions. No reservations needed!

Come in for an electronic photo with Santa before the Christmas Lights Parade. This event is FREE to the public. People and leashed pets of all ages welcome.
