The hardest part about visiting the Sanctuary is trying to fit in all the fun activities. We've created a few sample itineraries to help you make the most of your visit. Enjoy!

Monday

8 a.m. - Volunteer orientation at the Hamlet

9 a.m. - Horse Haven and Piggy Paradise tours

10:15 a.m. - Wild Friends tour

11 a.m. - Parrot Garden tour

11:45 a.m. - Lunch at Angel Village café

1:15 p.m. - Check in at Dogtown headquarters for volunteer shift.

3:30 p.m. - Pick up a dog for a sleepover.

Tuesday

8 a.m. - Return dog to Dogtown

8:15 a.m. - Check in at the Welcome Center for 8:30 a.m. Dogtown tour.

10 a.m. - Grand Sanctuary tour

11:45 a.m. - Lunch at Angel Village café

1:15 p.m. - Check in at Cat World headquarters for volunteer shift.

3:30 p.m. - Pick up cat for sleepover

Wednesday

8 a.m. - Return cat to Cat World.

8:15 a.m. - Check in at Marshall's Piggy Paradise for volunteer shift.

11:45 a.m. - Lunch at Angel Village café

12:45 p.m. - Check in at the welcome center for the 1 p.m. Cat World headquarters tour.

3 p.m. - Hike to Hidden Lake

4 p.m. - Walk around Angels Rest

10:30 a.m. - Horsemanship demo at Horse Haven

Noon - Grab a quick bite to eat in town.

12:30 p.m. - Visit Lake Powell/Glen Canyon (one hour each way from Kanab).

Wednesday

9 a.m. - Horses and pigs tour at Horse Haven

10 a.m. - Shop the Sanctuary Store and visit Roxy's Room.

11:45 a.m. - Lunch at Angel Village café

12:45 p.m. - Check in at the welcome center for the 1 p.m. Cat World headquarters tour.

3:30 p.m. - Visit Moqui Cave.

Thursday

Visit to Zion National Park (one hour each way from Kanab). Shuttles into the park begin running at 7 a.m. Try to leave early to avoid long wait times.

Seven-day Itinerary

This itinerary is for people who want to see Best Friends but also planned enough time to visit the national parks. This itinerary features mostly sightseeing and doesn't include volunteering.
