All the feels: Meet some animals at the Sanctuary

Keeping all the animals at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary happy and healthy is a full-time job, so we're unable to accommodate animal interactions for walk-in guests in our animal care areas. But there are ways to work in some pets and purrs during your visit to the Sanctuary. Who knows? You just might find a new best friend for life.

Animal interactions at the Best Friends Welcome Center

The welcome center is often the first stop for visitors to the Sanctuary, so it's only fitting that there are a variety of furry, four-legged and feathered friends eagerly waiting inside to greet you.

  • Next to the reception desk, you'll find some colorful birds who are always up for a quick convo or whistle-off.
  • We might be biased, but we think we have the cutest greeters in town. Meet some adorable bunnies in the Sanctuary Store.
  • While you're shopping, don't miss a chance to get your feline fix at the cattery toward the back of the store.
  • Roxy's Room, adjacent to the welcome center, features a variety of adoptable and adorable dogs to pet, cuddle and snuggle with every day. Satisfy your craving for canines from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you'd like to ensure even more quality time with the animals, please sign up for a volunteer shift in our animal care areas.

To adopt a Sanctuary dog, cat, bird, bunny or other pet, please fill out an animal adoption survey and one of our adoption specialists will be in touch.
